·The United States raises anti-dumping tax rate on engineering tires in China

On July 22, the US Department of Commerce raised the anti-dumping tax rate for Chinese engineering tires (OTR). The adjusted tax rate was 13.92%, compared to 12.91%.

The "double-reverse" of American engineering tires for China has lasted for 9 years.

In 2007, the United States Titan International Tire Company and the United States Steel Workers Federation (USW) jointly applied to the US International Trade Commission (ITC) to launch a "double-reverse" investigation of Chinese engineering tires.

The high tariffs imposed for many years have not satisfied the “double-reverse” initiators.

In the eyes of Titan International, the tires imported from China by the United States may have evaded tariffs through other means.

Earlier this year, Titan International CEO Morris Taylor said that if the importer can be sure to import the installed components and evade the engineering tire or wheel import tax, the relevant importers will be prosecuted.

After that, the company applied for a “double-reverse” investigation of related components.

On February 19th, ITC voted to terminate the “double-reverse” investigation of China's OTR tire-related components. However, the "double reverse" of OTR tires since 2007 has not stopped.

Not long ago, the US Department of Commerce made an anti-dumping administrative review final ruling on the case, and Chinese companies were still found guilty of dumping.
