The biggest selling point of LED lighting is energy saving, but often the market is limited by the cost of the product, materials, and heat dissipation technology, so that the demand for energy saving has a discount because of the light efficiency factor. Energy conservation is currently mainly reflected in the following two aspects:
First, the maximum conversion of electrical energy into light energy;
Second, the maximum control of light energy to the senses suitable for people.
Judging from the problems encountered in the current LED application field, the above two points are obviously not good enough. The first is the thermal problem of LEDs. Since there are heat dissipation problems, it means that the heat production of LEDs is quite considerable. We can simply analyze which LED problems are related to the heat production of LEDs:
1. Since the heat output of the LED is high enough to affect the heat dissipation angle, the temperature can be seen in general. Regarding LED light source sealing, what kind of material can withstand tens of thousands of hours of hot baking? Of course, even with such high-quality materials, the high price can be prohibitive.
2. Regarding the life problem, it is actually very simple. The heat emitted by the LED chip will affect the life of the LED light source itself, leading to light decay; in addition, it will affect the life of the aluminum substrate of the LED lamp.
3. It is precisely because the heat generated by the LED lamp is large, so heat dissipation is required. Compared to lightweight plastics, metal has much better thermal conductivity, but it is much more bulky and certainly more expensive.
Second is the problem of light perception. Why do we still feel blurred under the high lumen LED lights? The specific reasons are as follows:
1. Our eyes have long adapted to natural light, and almost all current LED lighting products are monochromatic. Compared to our eyes, whether it is warm or white, monochromatic light can not restore the color of the object itself.
2. The monochromatic light produced by the LED lamp is relatively large, but it is not far away. Therefore, we have such a feeling in the LED light, it is particularly glaring when it is close to the lamp; it is not enough to be bright enough away from the lamp; in contrast, the effect of warm color is slightly better.
The use of high-power light source can reduce the heat production of LEDs. When the 3528 light source was born, the position before the 5050 light source began to shake. Many friends have rejected the 3528 light source earlier, the reason is that the application of 3528 is relatively narrow, and it is not as easy to sell as 5050. Nowadays, those who have complained about the 3528 light source have earned a bucket of gold at the right time. Now more than 70 indoor lighting products are used 3528 light source. In fact, the use of the 3528 light source can save costs, but it also brings some technical problems.
In general, a 1W light source produces about 3,000 joules of heat per hour; and two 0.5W sources produce about 3,500 joules of heat per hour. Therefore, in terms of energy saving, the latter has a low light extraction efficiency. Taking a 5W bulb as an example, if a single 1W light source is used, a simple light source generates about 15K joules per hour. With a 0.5W source, the light source generates about 16.5K joules per hour. .
It is inferred that the same power, using 3528 light source than the 5050 light source to generate more heat, that is to say, under normal circumstances, the same power of the lamp, high-power light source than the low-power light source has a higher light output rate. At the same time, under the premise of the same power source, as the number of light sources increases, the heat production of the aluminum substrate will increase accordingly.
