ADI's New Analog to Digital Converter AD9645

ADI Corporation is the world's leading supplier of data conversion and signal processing technologies that are widely recognized in the industry. ADI is a leading high-performance analog integrated circuit (IC) manufacturer that has been in the industry for more than 40 years. Its products are widely used in analog signals and digital signal processing.

Recently, ADI recently introduced an AD9645 analog-to-digital converter. The AD9645 features high speed, wide dynamic range, low power consumption, high cost performance, and flexible functions. It is also available in a 32-lead LFCSP package, is RoHS compliant, and has a specified temperature range. -40°C to +85°C industrial temperature range. The dual-channel analog-to-digital converters use a multistage, differential pipeline architecture and integrate output error correction logic.

At the sample rate, the power consumption per channel is only 122 mW; at 70 MHz input, the SFDR (spurious-free dynamic range) performance is 91 dBc. With an IF sampling range of up to 200 MHz, the device is designed for multi-mode digital receiver architectures. The new converters meet the high performance and small size requirements of the latest 3G and 4G multi-standard cellular communications infrastructures, such as CDMA2000, WB-CDMA, LTE, TD-SCDMA, and multi-carrier GSM.

The product is available in a 5 mm × 5 mm package, which saves 30% of the area compared to the most competitive products. The AD9635, a pin-compatible, dual 12-bit product, is also available to enable easy migration between 12- and 14-bit converters from 20 MSPS to 125 MSPS. The main applications include battery-powered handheld instruments, oscilloscopes and portable medical devices.
