After years of construction and development, the equipment manufacturing industry has become one of the key pillar industries in Lanzhou City. Up to now, Lanzhou has 2 state-level enterprise technology centers, 1 state-level engineering and technology center, 15 provincial-level enterprise technology centers (41.7% of the city's provincial-level industrial enterprise technology centers), and 1 wind turbine test base. One research station for post-doctoral research work, and a group of research and development bases such as the Gansu Provincial Equipment Manufacturing Digital Design Public Service Platform, Lanzhou Valve Product Research and Development Center, National Green Coating Technology and Equipment Engineering Technology Research Center and so on.

For this reason, the "Opinions" pointed out that we must actively implement technological innovation projects, accelerate the adjustment of product structure, promote the development of industrial agglomeration, and create five major equipment manufacturing industry clusters.
