Recently, Dellner Brakes' SKD series introduced two new heavy-duty disc brakes. The company claims to provide outstanding braking power through its new modular design and its competitive price. The two new brakes will be launched at the Norwegian International Maritime Exhibition in Oslo from May 30th to June 2nd.
Dellner's new SKD 140 brake system is specifically designed to provide dynamic dynamic braking and static loading for large marine and industrial machinery. It has two brake boxes, each with a powerful hydraulic piston. With a power of up to 258kN and a braking capacity of up to 516kN in two cases, it is Dellner's most powerful braking system.
Dellner also offers a larger brake system that can be assembled with multiple brakes or tailored brake boxes with multiple pistons. At the same time, Dellner has developed a marine version of the brakes with corrosion protection and hard exterior coating, and the piston can also cope with the harsh marine environment. The cylindrical guide pin is used so that the brake piston is not constrained by any radial force, which tends to lengthen the braking time.
According to Marcus Ã…berg, CEO of Dellner Brakes, "Our new SKD brakes offer greater braking power than previous products, and it is believed that this modular design brand will be popular, including offshore and onshore applications."
