At present, with the rapid development of the automobile industry, environmental pressure caused by used tires is increasing. According to statistics, the amount of used tires in China each year reaches more than 100 million. As the number of cars increases year by year, used tires increase at a rate of two digits per year, resulting in a lot of "black pollution." Faced with the world's technical problems in the recovery and disposal of used tires, the Liaohe Petrochemical Research Institute is facing difficulties, and the project is researching the use of waste tires as a modifier to produce modified asphalt.
It is understood that this modified bitumen not only recycles used tires and achieves environmental protection purposes, but also improves the high temperature performance of bitumen and improves the quality of asphalt products due to the incorporation of rubber powder. At the same time, since the price of powdered powder is lower than that of crude oil, it can create considerable economic benefits for the company.
This project was initiated from the beginning of last year. At present, the laboratory research phase has been basically completed. The next step will be to send samples to Harbin Institute of Technology for performance evaluation, that is, to simulate the use of highways, to evaluate the performance of asphalt, and to prepare for the next step of laying experimental roads.
In the research process, the biggest problem encountered is the miscibility of tire powder and asphalt. After continuous research and research, the researchers have fully melted the rubber powder and the asphalt by changing the process conditions and adding additives to form a homogeneous phase and improve the stability of the product.
Liaohe Petrochemical Company used Liaohe Oilfield's unique low-concentration cycloalkyl heavy crude oil resources to develop its flagship product, the Kunlun Huanxi Ling brand asphalt, and its products are sold in 26 provinces, cities and autonomous regions. Last year, on the basis of an annual output of nearly 1 million tons of bitumen, the company also proposed to promote the construction of 2 million tons of asphalt supporting facilities and strive to build China's heavy oil processing base.
