According to statistics provided by the customs on imports and exports, edited and compiled by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, the current analysis of the import and export of commercial vehicles in March 2010 is as follows:
First, the export of commercial vehicles
In March 2010, commercial vehicles exported 22,100 vehicles, an increase of 53.07% from the previous month and an increase of 12.81% over the same period of last year; foreign exchange earnings amounted to 348 million US dollars, an increase of 3.89% from the same period of last year. Among them, the number of trucks exported was 18,000, an increase of 59.34% from the previous month and an increase of 15.57% over the same period of last year; the foreign exchange earning amount was US$211 million, which was a decrease of 6.23% compared with the same period of last year.
From January to March, the cumulative export volume of commercial vehicles was 56.5 thousand, which was an increase of 20.22% over the same period of last year; the cumulative foreign exchange earnings amounted to US$1.011 billion, an increase of 10.03% over the same period of last year. Among them, 45,300 units of trucks were exported, an increase of 17.52% over the same period of last year; the cumulative foreign exchange earnings amounted to US$608 million, a decrease of 1.10% over the same period of last year.
From January to March, the main exporting countries for commercial vehicles: Algeria, Vietnam, Syria, Iran, and Iraq.
Second, the import of commercial vehicles
In March 2010, 1,897 commercial vehicles were imported, an increase of 31.83% over the previous month and an increase of 153.61% over the same period of last year.
From January to March, a total of 4,241 commercial vehicles were imported, an increase of 147.29% over the same period of last year.
From January to March, the main importer of commercial vehicles was Japan, the United States, Germany, South Korea, and Sweden.
