Melamine and its salts are used as fire-retardant additives in paints, plastics, and paper. A melamine fibre, Basofil, has low thermal conductivity, excellent flame resistance and is self-extinguishing; this makes it useful for flame-resistant protective clothing, either alone or as a blend with other fibres.

Molybdenum ore containing copper porphyry copper deposit mainly in the skarn copper deposit. The porphyry copper deposit, which ranks first in the world in copper storage, is almost accompanied by molybdenite. To date, nearly half of the world's discovered molybdenum resources are stored in copper deposits. About half of the world's molybdenum production comes from the recovery of by-products from copper ore beneficiation . Therefore, the comprehensive recovery of molybdenite from copper ore is extremely important.
In the copper ore containing molybdenum, the main valuable component is copper. The selection is usually based on the best conditions for copper recovery, and molybdenum is only a by-product.
When flotation of copper-molybdenum ore, due to the irregular distribution of molybdenum ore, the molybdenum grade in the ore-mining plant fluctuates greatly; the floatability of crystalline molybdenite, amorphous molybdenite and molybdenum oxide in the ore is very different. Difficulties in the selection; a number of copper-molybdenum deposits have found easy to float talc and activated gangue, which also brings difficulties to the selection.
The flotation process of copper-molybdenum ore is usually divided into three steps: copper-molybdenum mixed flotation, copper-molybdenum sorting, and molybdenum picking, as shown in the following figure.
Figure Copper-molybdenum beneficiation principle process
The flotation process of copper-molybdenum ore also has a preferential flotation method of first suppressing molybdenum floating copper and then floating molybdenum, first suppressing copper floating molybdenum and then floating copper.
Copper-molybdenum mixed flotation usually incorporates a strong polar collector , while molybdenum is selected using only selective hydrocarbon oils as collectors.
Cu - Mo mixed concentrate containing 13% ~ 42% Cu, 0.2 % ~ 3% Mo, also contains iron, lead sulfide and other minerals. According to the types of copper minerals, they can be divided into three types: chalcopyrite type - most copper-molybdenum mines in the United States and Canada are of this type; chalcopyrite type - many large copper-molybdenum mines in Chile and Peru This type; mixed type - both chalcopyrite and chalcopyrite.
The separation of copper-molybdenum mixed concentrate is the key to comprehensive recovery of by-product molybdenum.
The flotation process for comprehensive recovery of copper sulfide in molybdenum ore is similar to the molybdenum ore flotation process. The coarse selection collector is mainly composed of a hydrocarbon oil non-polar collector. The recovery of copper sulphide is often carried out by adding collectors of copper minerals such as xanthate to molybdenum-selected tailings. The gold ore in the Jinduicheng No. 1 plant was only 0.028% copper, and the selected tailings were comprehensively recovered to the qualified copper concentrate.
