The 2011 Shanghai Auto Show has already ended. As the engine of the heavy truck heart, the following four characteristics are reflected in the current Shanghai International Auto Show:
Bringing engines from production, multiple vehicle manufacturers battle
At the 2011 Shanghai Auto Show, domestic leading independent engine companies such as Weichai and Yuchai were collectively absent, while diesel companies affiliated with vehicle manufacturers were mostly exhibiting in the form of group companies. Specifically, the Dongfeng Cummins Engine brought a total of three products, namely the Dongfeng Cummins ISZ525 40 engine exhibited at the Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle booth and the Dongfeng Cummins IsDe300 40 engine and the IsDe 140 40 engine exhibited at the Dongfeng shares booth. SFH Shang Fei Hong and Shang Chai Power exhibited four engines at the booth of SAIC. They were Shang Feihong's FIC, NEF6, Cursor 9 and Cursor13, SCIC's SC25/28R diesel engine, SC8DT natural gas engine and SC9DK electronically controlled diesel engine. And SC9DF electronically controlled diesel engine. Foton Cummins exhibited two full-control light diesel engines, the ISF2.8L and the 3.8L, at the Foton Motor Show.
Experienced the battle for engines in the heavy truck industry in 2010, the self-built engine factory of mainstream heavy truck companies has gradually become a trend. This can be seen from the auto manufacturers pushing the self-produced engines. In addition to Dongfeng Cummins, the engines displayed by Dongfeng Commercial Vehicles are independently developed Fengshen EQH200 40 diesel engine, a new generation of China IV natural gas engine EQRN385 40, and Dongfeng Tianlong's dCi. Dongfeng also exhibited its Dongfeng light engine ZD30, and JAC pushed its independently developed HFC4DB-1.9L CTI diesel engine and HFC4DA-2.8L National IV diesel engine.
In the peak season every year, commercial vehicle companies are constrained by the shortage of supply of key components. According to the signals passed by this auto show, in order to solve its own production bottleneck, powerful companies are preparing to enter the engine market. Foton Motor Group displayed an imported Mercedes-Benz engine. According to field staff, Futian will cooperate with Mercedes-Benz to produce high-powered engines and start production at Huairou, the new base. Apart from exhibiting two independently developed engines, JAC also exhibited two Maxford Force 3.2 and Maxx Force 4.8 Maersk engines.
Among the heavy trucks exhibited by automakers, besides their own engines, most of the outsourced engines are made of Weichai. For example, the Futian Auman 9 Series LNG tractors and all 5 models of Dayun are fitted with Weichai engines. .
Multinational companies flock to the Chinese market
The biggest feature of the 2011 Shanghai Auto Show is that the number of foreign exhibitors and exhibitors is more than in previous years. The giants of multinational commercial vehicles not only brought many of their models, but also demonstrated their high-quality engines.
North American commercial vehicle and engine giant Navistar showcased the three flagship products of Maxwell: Maxx Force 10, Maxx Force 13 and Maxx Force 15. German Mann brought a D2676LOH engine. Volvo’s full range of commercial vehicles are fully unveiled and three engines are on display: the Volvo D16G engine, the Volvo D13 diesel engine and a hybrid engine. Duff Trucks displayed the Duff 13L MX engine and the Duff 9.2L PR engine.
The products brought by these multinational companies have one common characteristic: they have larger emissions and higher emission levels. On the one hand, they reflect their leading technological level; on the other hand, they also reflect their emphasis on the Chinese market.
The biggest difference between Chinese companies and European companies is that almost all OEMs in Europe have their own engine plants, but even if the OEMs in China have their own engine plants, they will also be fitted with other brands of engines. This provides a great opportunity for multinational commercial vehicle giants to enter the Chinese market. At the same time, China has now become the most promising country in the world for heavy-duty vehicle development prospects. With the development of China's heavy-duty vehicles, the market for heavy-duty diesel engines is very broad, and multinational commercial vehicle companies will naturally not let go of this market.
Multiple emission levels coexist, and China IV becomes the main force
In this exhibition engine, the emission scope covers the country II, the country III, the country IV, the country V, and even EU VI emissions, such as SFH Philippine Red's Cuesor13 engine can provide the full range of products from Europe III to Europe VI Of the five vehicles brought by Jinbei Automobile, three are National II emissions. Among the engines participating in the exhibition, most of the emissions from the State IV are. The engines of international brands are mostly Euro V emissions.
Interestingly, despite the fact that the engines of the multinational commercial vehicle brands are mostly Euro V emission, there are also Euro III emission products on display, such as the Volvo FH16 610HP 64 TRACTOR and the Mercedes-Benz Actros 4141 pump chassis. The Mercedes-Benz Actros 4060 6×6SLT tractors are Euro III emissions. The Mercedes-Benz Unlmog railway car can provide Euro III to Euro V emission standards.
Since the national IV emission standards for heavy vehicles will be implemented in 2012, it is not surprising that the 2011 Shanghai Auto Show is the country's IV engine. The international commercial vehicle giant brings higher emission levels to demonstrate its ability to meet China's emission standards. It is worth noting that they not only display their high-end products, but also bring the current considerations of China's current emission standards in line with the country's III engine products to meet the reality of China's oil product quality and market demand at a glance.
Large displacement is favored, new energy is not mainstream
With the continuous escalation of emission standards, as well as the increase in overload and overload management, the trend of large engine power and large displacement has become quite obvious. The current Shanghai Auto Show, the domestic brand's maximum displacement of 13L, power up to 480hp European standard horsepower. The international commercial vehicle company's engine displacement is more than 15L, 16L, power is about 600hp European standard horsepower.
At the Dongfeng Liuzhou Auto Show, it was positioned as China's first super heavy truck M7, an intercontinental high-speed logistics vehicle. One of its two highlights was the matching of high-powered engines. The M7 is equipped with a Dongfeng Cummins 450 hp IV engine that has not previously appeared in the country. The Red Pearl R 999, a Scania convertible truck that has made its debut at the Shanghai Auto Show, is equipped with a SCANIA twin-turbo V8 engine with a displacement of 16.2 liters and a maximum output of 1,000 horsepower.
In addition, alternative energy and new energy engines are not the mainstream in this Shanghai auto show, and traditional energy engines still account for the vast majority. A total of three alternative energy and new energy engines were exhibited at the Shanghai Auto Show. Two of them were LNG engines, namely the SC8DT natural gas engine from Shangchai and the Dongfeng Generation IV natural gas engine EQRN385 40 from Dongfeng, and one from Volvo. Hybrid engine. Therefore, among the heavy trucks displayed at the auto show, the Auman 9 Series LNG tractors and Auman LNG dump trucks have become one of the few new energy models.
According to reports, LNG has a higher ignition point than diesel and gasoline, and it is not easy to ignite. It is safe and reliable, and the gas emitted after combustion is not polluted. Futian Automobile related persons said that Futian Auman LNG heavy truck uses Weichai's second-generation LNG engine. Compared with diesel engines, the same mileage, the cost of using LNG is only 60% of diesel.
