Japan's Jietete expands China's production scale

JTEKT (JTEKT) Co., Ltd. (JSTKT), a manufacturer of automotive parts and components, exhibited a series of environmentally-friendly technologies and high-performance products at the (2011 Shanghai) auto show.

At present, the company's business in China includes 15 production plants, one company and one software development company, and five sales subsidiaries.

In order to further strengthen its business foundation, JTEKT is working with Wafangdian Bearing Group Co., Ltd., a major Chinese bearing company, to discuss cooperation with the expansion of the previous joint venture framework and to expand the steering gear factory to invest in enhancing automotive use. Bearing capacity and other aspects, continue to strengthen the supply system for the rapidly growing Chinese market.

In terms of technology development, the “JRDC” was established in May 2010, and established a car safety prevention technology cooperation with Tongji University, which is responsible for the latest technology development in Chinese automotive engineering. The joint research room will expand the local procurement and production of parts and components, and will strive to achieve sales volume in the Chinese market in 2015 that has been tripled to more than 110 billion yen. In terms of steering systems and automotive bearings, we have secured the position as the largest supplier in China.
