At the same time as weight and size are reduced, vermicular cast iron can also increase engine performance by 10% to 20%, NVH by 0.5 to 1.5 decibels, and bore deformation by 20% to 30%, thereby reducing emissions, fuel consumption, and friction loss. The reporter learned that for Hintercast, the essence of its technology is precise thermal analysis—that is, a process with high and stable vermicularity (above 80%). Dawson introduced that if customers use the Hintercast technology, their products can be immediately recognized internationally, eliminating many certifications.

Dawson said that some Chinese manufacturers, especially commercial vehicle manufacturers such as FAW, Weichai, etc., are doing experiments on vermicular cast iron, and Hintercaste is willing to make a difference in the Chinese market.
