Kourosh Kalantar Zadeh, a scientist at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in Melbourne, Australia, and the Chinese Academy of Sciences are working on a test element that can be installed on a smartphone to detect nitrogen oxides in the air. Importantly, the cost of such components is very low.
