Now many Chinese companies, entrepreneurs, investors, and billions of government funds are madly engaged in the LED (Light Emitting Diode) field. The technology invented by General Electric 48 years ago can really make China global. Is the field of science and technology taking the lead?

LEDs, or LEDs, have been invented in the Syracuse of New York State about half a century ago. Many people have predicted that LEDs will replace the incandescent lamps invented by Edison as the most important lighting fixtures for humans.

In recent years, LED technology has made very significant progress, but LEDs are solid-state devices that involve complex semiconductor layering techniques.

LEDs require a large number of complex circuit designs and heat sinks that are very temperature sensitive. Each individual LED is the size of a Christmas light, and the light produced is also tiny. Therefore, to release the same light as an ordinary street lamp, LED lighting fixtures need to be arranged in dozens of such light-emitting components.

Like pollution-free automobile engines and jet passenger aircraft, the universal use of energy-efficient LED lamps will also become a new bright spot for future development, and it is getting closer and closer to our lives.

In China, the enthusiasm of commercial markets for LEDs is unprecedentedly high. In this market worth tens of billions of dollars, a group of leading companies from China will emerge.

Regardless of the number of companies engaged in LED manufacturing or the amount of capital invested in this area, China is larger than other countries and regions in the world. On the Alibaba website, there are more than 2 million Chinese companies selling LED products, which is hundreds of times more than Taiwanese companies that also produce LEDs. In Shenzhen alone, there are 280,000 companies supplying LED lamps or light bulbs.

Last year, I attended a trade show in the optoelectronics industry. There were hundreds of exhibitors, but most of them were engaged in the design, production and manufacture of LED street lights, traffic lights, and control systems.

Seeing this, you can't help but recall whether China is using LED traffic lights everywhere. Actually, although this technology has matured, LED traffic lights are still not common. However, the Chinese government is now very willing to invest a lot of money in the future to achieve this vision. The promulgation of this policy has attracted a large number of companies to enter this field.

I have a good example to illustrate this. The two business owners that our company has cooperated with, one of which is a leading company in the jewelry industry, are investing in LED street lighting projects. Moreover, many venture capital and private equity funds that we cooperate with are also very eager to invest in China's LED industry.

Of course, foreign countries are full of confidence in the future of LED, but this enthusiasm can not be compared with China.

In order to succeed in this industry, it must also possess advanced large-scale production technology and exquisite scientific research. China has the privilege of having these two important factors.
